Msichana Imara Foundation is a non-profit organization advocating for the rights and empowerment of girls through education, sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and economic empowerment programs. Based in Arusha Tanzania, the foundation strives to create a community where girls can realize their potential and actively participate in social, economic, political, and cultural aspects without fear.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Communication and Branding Officer to lead our communication strategies and enhance our brand visibility. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field and at least 1 years of relevant experience. This role requires a proactive and strategic individual with strong storytelling and content development skills to amplify the foundation’s impact.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Major Responsibilities

1. Communication Strategy Development:

Develop and implement the foundation’s communication and branding strategy.

Ensure consistent messaging aligned with the organization’s mission and values.

2. Content Creation and Management:

Produce engaging content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and reports.

Manage the foundation’s social media platforms and website.

Develop marketing materials, including brochures, videos, and presentations.

3. Branding and Visibility:

Maintain and enhance the foundation’s brand identity across all channels.

Organize campaigns and events to raise awareness of programs and initiatives.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

Build and maintain relationships with media, donors, and partners.

Represent the foundation at events and forums to promote its mission.

5. Monitoring and Reporting:

Track the performance of communication initiatives and prepare impact reports.

Analyze audience engagement and adjust strategies accordingly.

6. Project Implementation:

Support the execution of programs and activities

NB: The employee may also be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the organization's overall objectives.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Technical Skills, and Personal Attributes

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 years of experience in communications, branding, or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools.

Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus.

Personal Attributes:

Creative thinker with excellent attention to detail.

Strong interpersonal and networking skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
