The founder and executive director of the foundation won the BEST CEO FOR NON-PROFIT 2022 award by Tanzania Top 100 Executive List. The award recognizes her outstanding leadership and contributions to the non-profit sector

The foundation was awarded the BEST YOUTH HEALTH CARE PROJECT OF THE YEAR 2022 by Tanzania Youth Transformation Africa for its Mawimbi project. The project aims to improve the health outcomes of young people in Tanzania

Msichana Imara Foundation was awarded the CHAMPIONS PROMOTING SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH RIGHTS award for its efforts in promoting gender equality in Tanzania. The award was presented at the Serena Hotel in Dar es Salaam by WILDAF Tanzania.
